There are some difficult passages in today’s reading in light of today’s culture. I ask the Lord, “What if a woman finds indecency in her husband? in response to Deuteronomy 24:1.
“When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a bill of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house,…”
Even though many of these verses don’t fit with our current culture, the underlying character traits are endless…integrity, honesty, just judgement, generosity, kindness, mercy, purity, fairness, single-hearted devotion to God, etc.
Lord, teach and empower us to exhibit the behavior that pleases Your heart! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
