If We are the Body by Casting Crowns

I heard this song on the way to work on Sunday morning.  Later on a co-worker retold a story in which he had been hurt by the Body.  This man was not saved and had no idea of was it was to live like a Christian.  My heart sank as I listened to his painful recollection.

I realize many of us are loving and reach out to the unlovely, but I also realize we still have a long way to go.

It's crowded in worship today

As she slips in

Trying to fade into the faces

The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know

Farther than they know

CHORUS

But if we are the Body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the Body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

There is a way

A traveler is far away from home

He sheds his coat

And quietly sinks into the back row

The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances

Are better out on the road

CHORUS

But if we are the Body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the Body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus paid much too high a price

For us to pick and choose who should come

And we are the Body of Christ

Chorus (2x)

If we are the body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus is the way

"The Governor’s Awards offers York an extraordinary opportunity to shine a spotlight on the diverse creativity in our own community. While the planning committee could not include all of the talented artists who live and work in our county, we have tried to include a representative sample of artists who make York a not-so-well-kept artistic secret."

Consecrated's photo-realistic 3d model of his Les Paul guitar is being displayed at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center today in York for the 2010 Governor's Awards.

I am proud of you, my son!!!

This is a 3 dimensional model, not a digital photo. My creative son built this guitar, piece by piece, on the computer.

I am proud of you, my son!!!

A Beautiful History by Plumb

I worked dayshift on Sunday, and while driving there I heard this song on the radio. It ministered deeply to my heart, because when I have felt afraid or made mistakes, He has ALWAYS called my name. It's all just another stroke of the pen of my beautiful history with Him. As you listen to this song, prepare to be touched in your spirit.

I have made mistakes
and I have been afraid
I have felt alone
Then you called my name

Things were crashing loudly
Happening all around me
But you're still small voice
Was all that I could hear

I am here
I'm holding you
You'll make it through this
I am here, I am here
x2

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke of
the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history

Well I have been such a fool
when I have known the truth
I've wasted so much time
Doing what I want to do

I've been living solely
for myself and myself only
but your still small voice
is whispering

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke
of the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history

I toss and turn and scream
I try to do everything
with two feet on the ground
I just keep falling down again

I feel so far from home
Completely on my own
and then I hear you say
I am here, I am here

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke of
the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history
a beautiful history
a beautiful history
