Proverbs 19-21: A Man of Great Wrath

Proverbs 19:19
Amplified Bible (AMP)

A man of great wrath shall suffer the penalty; for if you deliver him [from the consequences], he will [feel free to] cause you to do it again.

A person with "great wrath" is like a ticking time bomb.  The people associated with this kind of person often feel as though they are "walking on eggshells," never quite sure when or what will cause this unhealthy expression of anger to manifest.  A person suffering from this type of stronghold can actually be classified as mentally ill.  According the the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM),
Explosive personality disorder is an impulse control disorder characterized by episodes of aggressive, destructive behavior resulting in damage to an individual or property. The outburst can occur with little or no provocation, and the individual feels unable to resist the aggressive impulses. The aggressive, destructive feelings and behavior appear very suddenly and subside almost as quickly, often followed by regret or embarrassment over lack of self-control and the resulting damage. Between episodes, the individual may or may not appear impulsive or aggressive. The aggressive episodes typically last about 20 minutes and generally occur from 1 to 25 times a month.

God consuls us to allow this wrathful person to reap the consequences of his behavior.  By making excuses for this person, we, in effect, are hindering his recovery process and possibly endangering those who come into contact with him.

If you live with someone suffering from this illness, get out and get help!  In an emergency situation where the person is endangering himself or others, call 911 or your local Crisis Intervention.

Wrathful anger is a stronghold and is just like any other sin with which must be dealt.  There is freedom in Christ!  You don't need to suffer any longer with this affliction.  Cry out to Jesus, and talk to a Christian counselor.  Receive healing in your soul and the empowerment of God's Spirit, in the great name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
