Even though the weather was overcast with a misty, light rain, many people hungry to see God's "Holy Experiment" of Pennsylvania come to fulfillment.
Local pastors and churches, united in one cause, gathered together to call forth the "seed of a nation." A seed where the governing bodies and people of this wonderful state would line up with the call and purposes of Heaven, and in doing so, lead this great nation to the one, true God and His ways.
Personally, I had the sense that yesterday was a "For such a time as this" day. A day for which God created this woman, to pray passionately for Heaven to invade this land, to worship through singing and dancing in the rain (AWESOME), and to reach out to other sons and daughters with the Love only Jesus can impart.
The story of Pennsylvania and its prophetic call are written in the the book, The Seed of a Nation, by Darrell Fields. I have not read this book yet, but I hope to soon.
Darrell Fields and his wife, Lorrie were in attendance yesterday, as well as Lou Engle, the leader of the nationally known gathering, "The Call."
Thank you to all who prayed for Pennsylvania yesterday. You were born "For such a time as this."

We were planning to go out to eat, but in order to be frugal, I made the meal myself. Strongman grilled the steaks of course.
Fire went to visit Nannie and Pappy, while Strongman and I feasted, rested and watched the movie, "While You Were Sleeping."
We ended the special day with Fire's soccer game. They are undefeated to date!!!

As you know, Fire is playing for the local high school varsity soccer team this year. Currently, we are undefeated in our league, and last night's game marked a new milestone in the team's current standings.
After eight years of defeat by the local rival team, we won with a score of 5 to 1. Fire's jersey number is three. Look for his red hair. ;)
Auntie MA and Auntie JL, this is for you!

The interview this morning went well. I felt a peace when touring the child/adolescent unit at the Psychiatric Institute. The clincher for me was the sign on a closet door adjacent to the nursing station, “Who you are is God’s gift to you. What you do with yourself is your gift to God.” Unknown
Prior to the interview, I asked for God’s peace to lead and for a sign for how to proceed. My awesome God literally gave me a sign.
PI has given me a conditional offer of employment contingent on positive references.
Thank you all for praying; you’re AWESOME!!!!!

If you think of me on Wednesday (tomorrow) morning, please pray that God would make his will clear during the interview, one way or another.
Thanks a bunch!

P.S. Strongman has had many calls for work, since restarting his business. He told me it would take about three weeks to get it all completed...Yay, Jesus!!!! :)

"I Will Pour Out My Supernatural Favor Even this Moment, for I Am Going to Bring Redemption From Areas You Thought Were Lost"
This word by Eileen Fisher touched me personally, and I know it will touch many of you. I received it through the Elijah List Ministries in this morning's e-mail. May you all be blessed by it.
With Much Love...
The following prophetic word was given by Eileen Fisher on August 8, 2009 during her weekly Prophetic School of the Holy Spirit meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Lord says: "I have called you by name; I have seen you in the valleys, and I have seen you looking for a path. You have followed the rivers, hoping it would lead you up to the mountains, up to the high places, to experience My holiness where you can worship Me in spirit and in truth. I say I am not only Lord of the mountains, but I am also Lord of the valley.
"I say this night I would come to you in your valley, and I would prepare a banquet for you in the midst of your enemies. I would encourage you, I would command you to laugh at the snares and the plan of the enemy, for truly he is under My feet. If you are inside Me, then he is under your feet also.
"For I am going to strengthen you tonight by My Spirit," says the Lord. "For I am pouring oil on your heads; oil will be the ointment of worship, it will be the oil of praise, it will be the oil of thanksgiving. For you have gone through a season of persecution and misunderstanding; not like the Saints of old, but today people have given you accusing looks and words of accusation, which has caused despondency and discouragement in your hearts where you have begun to doubt in My goodness, in My faithfulness, and in My all-knowingness.
"I Will Not Desert You; I Am the Good Shepherd Who Comes and Finds My Own"
"For I am the 'I Am,' and I am bidding you by My Spirit to flow in My Spirit stronger. As you flow in Him stronger He will strengthen you. For you cannot come into My Spirit without being strengthened. For He is called Strengthener and Counselor. I command you tonight to develop intimacy stronger in quiet, still times in My presence.
"For I Am going to pour out my fragrance," says the Lord. "The stench of abandonment is going to be released away from My people. The enemy has come to sow in the hearts of My own a spirit of abandonment. He has tried to fill the void with religion. He has tried to cause My people to be so sensitive to people around them, but this will change: they will become more sensitive to My Spirit.
"For I will pour out My Spirit stronger than what you have experienced. I will give visitations upon visitations on My own. For tonight revelation is going to be given to you, and I Am pouring this into your understanding right now," says the Lord.
"As you have come to seek My face, My face is seeking your heart. I am going to tug on your heart with counsel," says the Lord, "till you know that you know I Am the Counselor and the soon coming King."
"You Have Been In a Season of Training—You Are Going to Grow in the Favor of Your God"
"I am going to raise My people up into high places, not in the natural but in the Spirit, until they learn to rule and reign down upon the earth through My Spirit. For I promise you, the flesh that has been buffeted has been in a season of training—painful training.
"Some of you have had such groans in your spirit, for you have not known why I have been so strict with you. Why I have set you aside and trimmed away excess fat. Why I have trimmed away ambition. Why I have even trimmed away the favor that you have had with man. I would tell you this tonight, because you are going to grow in the favor of your God. As you grow in this favor it will not be mixed or blended with the favor of the flesh of man, for that would taint it," says the Lord your God.
"But instead I will pour out My supernatural favor even this moment as I speak it over you," says your Savior. "For I am going to bring redemption from areas you thought were lost. I am going to calm your fears, for the enemy has truly come and he has tried to stir up a hornet's nest to bring into your hearts unrest. For I would say unto you, Well done! I have broken many unruly spirits; I have put them under My Lordship. I have put them, and I have placed them carefully and tenderly in positions for My Kingdom's sake."
"For you are going to know and have it settled, that truly greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Be prepared for this to be proven," says the Lord your God. "For I will give you dreams, I will give you visions, I will quicken your understanding, and I will mature your spirits to a level that you will be so spiritually minded, that you will become earthly good.
"I say unto you, the earth is the Lord's and all that is in it. I recall what you are made of, but I also recall what you are made for: My glory," says the Lord. "My glory will lift My own head through your heads. For I am even touching your eyes tonight," says the Lord. "For you will begin to see, taste and sense My Spirit.
"Be not content with the soulish favor of man, for it is entrapment, and a snare to My Spirit. For your soul and My Spirit do not mix. My Spirit heals your soul, and your soul is being held captive by My Spirit to be restored and renewed. I am taking discouragement off of you, and I am taking and placing in you new hope and new vision.
"I promise you, the crossroads you are now standing in, I will be the Man who stands in the center for you. Just as I am the ruler of the universe, I will be your crossing guard. Remember My Cross; My Cross will guard you and I will point you in the direction of My Spirit. Though others would laugh and others would not understand, I will provoke them to jealousy for the power you will walk in. For I have called you a hidden vessel; I have called you a treasure, set aside, prepared, able and now ready to be used," says the Lord your God.

PA Awake: a Day of Prayer, Worship and Declaration to Rediscover Pennsylvania's Purpose, on September 26th
By Aimee Herd (September 7, 2009)
"If thou wouldst rule well, thou must rule for God, and to do that, thou must be ruled by him....Those who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." –William Penn
From out of the history of William Penn, after which the state of Pennsylvania is named, comes a call to return to Penn's vision of a God-honoring government, and individual lifestyle.
PA Awake is a gathering, much like those of The Call, where hundreds come together to pray, worship God and declare God's purposes for their state and country. It will be held on September 26th (rain or shine) from noon to 6pm, at the Skyline Sports Complex, City Island, Harrisburg, PA. There is no charge, however registration is necessary so adequate parking can be arranged.
William Penn's life may not be familiar to many, but he was touched by God at an early age after attending a Quaker meeting. In an attempt to rid him of his spiritual quest, Penn's father sent him to attend Oxford when he was 16, but he was soon expelled because he rejected institutionalized religion, seeking instead an authentic Christian message.
At one point Penn was sent to the Tower of London, where he used the time to write the first draft of his book No Cross No Crown, from which a quote reads: "No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown."*
Penn eventually was granted a large area west and south of New Jersey by King Charles II. Penn named it Sylvania (Latin for woods or forest) but Charles later changed it to Pennsylvania. (Tapestry depicting Holy Experiment/QuakerInfo.com)
William Penn envisioned a democratic system of government that "with full freedom of religion, fair trials, elected representatives of the people in power, and a separation of powers,"** ideas which later helped form the US Constitution. His understanding of the Gospel also led him to form a peace treaty and friendship with the area Native American tribes, making sure that they were paid fairly for their lands.** This vision of Penn's Pennsylvania was what he called a "Holy Experiment," and an example to the nations.
It is in this spirit—an authentic pursuit of God, and the honor of God and the Gospel in government, the state and the country—that PA Awake will meet on September 26th. Prior to the main event, there will be two "Pre-event Worship Rallies" held on Monday, 9/14 and 9/21, 7pm at Life Center Ministries.

Thank you all for laying down your life to pray for others. God is pleased!!!
Remember Ben, the boy who had appendicitis and then developed an abscess while on a mission’s trip? He is completely clear of infection. He told me that the doctors said he was only days away death, BUT our God intervened.
Fire had a cardiac stress test yesterday morning and it was great! The cardiologist said he performed better than 90% of his peers. The only reason he stopped was because his knee was hurting. (High school soccer is hard on the joints.) The doctor agreed to hold off on the long- term heart monitor, unless Fire has another episode. He feels that Fire has an extra electrical pathway in his heart that only kicks in sporadically.
Many of you already know that Strongman has restarted his HVAC business since his lay off about a month ago. He sent out post cards this past Saturday to his former customers and has already received four phone calls for work. His customers were grateful that he restarted his business, because they knew they could trust him to do an excellent job. Praise our Provider!
Mom has been doing well. Her leg has been looking good. It is almost normal size with no redness! It is wonderful to see the sparkle back in her eye!
Fire is into his 2nd week of his junior year and all is well. He is managing his schoolwork and the busy schedule of playing a high school sport. I am having no difficulty teaching algebra 2 and chemistry. God be praised!!!!
I am submitting applications for employment, but I only want that to work out IF God desires. Home education, especially the junior year in high school, is time consuming, and I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew. Please pray the doors will be shut if I am not supposed to work (outside of the home) at this time.
Thank you all and may the heart-knowledge of Jesus overwhelm you!

After having walked through a field, have you ever found burrs stuck to your clothes? You may have even attempted to pull them off of your clothes only to find that their spikes jab your fingers. While walking through the fields of this life, we are bound to get burrs stuck to us, but what do we do when the nasty little stickers attach themselves to us?
To what can burrs be likened? Unmet expectations, traumas, trials, temptations, tribulations all can be like burrs that stick to our souls, sometimes holding fast and accumulating while we are unaware.
According to Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary a burr is "a rough or prickly envelope of a fruit or something that sticks or clings." Some burrs, like the cocklebur, actually contain a toxin, which according to Purdue University, when ingested by livestock can cause "gastrointestinal irritation, weakness, breathing difficulty, behavioral changes, cardiac abnormalities, [and] death."
Notice, a burr is a fruit, and fruit carry seeds. God created the "rough or prickly" exterior of a burr specifically to attach to a passing animal with the purpose of carrying the fruit, enclosing its seed, to another location where it falls to the ground; the seed then germinates, and a new plant grows up to produce more burr-covered fruit.
I don't think we want the poison of unmet expectations, traumas, trials and tribulations to stick to us, fall to the ground, germinate and grow up into the same burr-producing plant that started the cycle, potentially sticking others with its fruit.
In the spiritual realm, burrs are similar to the thistles described in the parable of the sower in fourth chapter of Mark. Verse seven says,
"Other seed [of the same kind] fell among thorn plants, and the thistles grew and pressed together and utterly choked and suffocated it, and it yielded no grain."
Not only do the thistle-like burrs cause potential physical illness and death, but they also prevent the good seed, which the Lord has sown to be choked and suffocated! It is obvious one cannot ignore these pesky little jabbers who hike a ride on us in order to propagate themselves.
Again, the question is posed- what do we do when the nasty little stickers attach themselves to us?
The first course of action is to help others get "unstuck" so to speak. Urge them, warn them, and encourage them. Help them to stand in the faith. Most of all remind them they are NOT alone. As much of a blessing it is to have a brother or sister in Christ stand with us, pray for us, there is nothing greater then the encouragement of Jesus. I can personally attest to His awesome encouragements during the darkest nights of my life.
"Establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:22 (Amplified Bible)
You are NOT unique in that temptation. Everyone who Loves Jesus will at some point be tempted. Jesus was tempted, and contrary to what some say, it is NOT a sin to be tempted. Temptation gives us an opportunity to show Jesus that we Love Him more than that thing satan sticks in our face. Beside that, Jesus always gives a way of escape from temptation, and sometimes we literally have to run away from that thing.
"For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently." 1 Corinthians 10:13
Have you ever felt hedged in and pressed? I certainly have, BUT be encouraged, with Jesus empowering us, we will NOT be driven to despair!
In the Amplified version, 2 Corinthians 4 says it well...
"We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair (verse 8)
Has a situation occurred in your life when you have felt like you have been pursued, been standing alone and beat up? Cry out to Jesus! We may be struck down, Beloved, but we are certainly NOT destroyed!
"We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;" (verse 9)
Burrs may stick us, but praise Jesus the good news is that through these things are body (flesh) is put to death, so that the resurrection life of Jesus can flow through us!
"Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies." (Verse 10)
Dear Jesus, in walking through this life we are bound to come into contact with burrs. We will trust You to show us them and give us wisdom in dealing with them. No disappointment, trauma, trial or tribulation could ever separate us from your Love! We are in the palm of Your hand Lord. These unpleasantries will be turned around for our good and for Your glory by killing our flesh, which in turn will allow for the flow of Your resurrection power in our lives. Holy Spirit empower us to glory You always!!! In the awesome and great name of Jesus! AMEN!
