Even As My Soul Prospers

Dear Praying Friends and Family,

My soul has been prospering!  Thankfulness has been overwhelming my soul for all the wonderful blessings the Lord has been lavishing on me.  Peace and rest now rule a soul once stirred by every storm front.  That is reality, and it does not change with this new storm development.

Yesterday, my plastic surgeon checked an area of suspicion on my right side afterwards declaring that it must be surgically removed for biopsy.  He feels it may be scar tissue or possibly a lymph node.  The formation of scar tissue would be a normal result of all the surgical procedures from 2011, but being able to feel a lymph node is not normal.

I am scheduled for surgery on September 26th at Harrisburg Hospital.

Please Pray...

*that the lump is benign.

*that it is not a lymph node.  The more lymph nodes removed, the more chance for lymph edema, which would cause swelling in my arm and an increased risk for infection.

*that my soul continues in peace and rest.

*that my life would shine as an example of what trusting Jesus looks like no matter what type of storm presents.

*that my men (Strongman, Consecrated and Fire) would walk out their destinies and not be distracted by my physical challenges.

I just completed another race this past Saturday and continue to see increased strength and health rise up in me!  My physical body IS prospering just like my soul is prospering!

Thank you for standing with me in prayer as the Holy Spirit directs!

My Love Continues Always...

Beautiful Grace

3 John 1:2

Amplified Bible (AMP)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.

The Beauty, Mystery and Complexity of Creation

This picture was downloaded from the Internet.
I didn't have time to snap a picture of my Luna Moth as he built his cocoon quickly.

He stayed in his cocoon for several weeks.

When he emerged, we were concerned he was deformed.
His body was  very large and his wings were stubby.

In the process of freeing this beautiful creature.

I was convinced this guy was a mutant, but more beauty and mystery awaited.

His wings began to emerge.

His body contracted.

Mr. Luna is really a mister.
Look at his bushy antennae.

We watched over him to ensure his safety.
We thought a bird may gobble him up.

AMAZING!

2 Kings 5-8: Profoundly Simple

2 Kings 5:10-11
Amplified Bible (AMP)

10 Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean.

11 But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the leper.

Naaman was a commander in the Syrian Army and a mighty man of valor. Naaman was also a leper. His wife's servant girl mentioned that Elisha, God's prophet, would be able to heal his condition.

On the word of a girl, Naaman traveled to Samaria to find Elisha. The preceding verses describes Naaman's preconceived idea of just how his healing would occur.

But God had another idea.

Naaman was instructed by Elisha's messenger to wash himself in the Jordan River seven times. Naaman was offended, not only because Elisha didn't come out to meet him, but because it seemed too simple. Couldn't he have washed in the rivers of Syria?

2 Kings 5:13
Amplified Bible (AMP)

13 And his servants came near and said to him, My father, if the prophet had bid you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather, then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean?

Naaman was expecting a great supernatural display of healing power, when all God wanted him to do was simply obey. I wonder how many times we fall into Naaman's trap? God asks us to simply obey in order to receive our miracle, but sometimes we hesitate, like Naaman. Surely, God would have poured out His power making Himself evident to all.

In times past, I have fallen into Naaman's trap.

I had the picture of restoration of a relationship all worked out in my head. BUT it didn't work out that way.

God had another idea.

Maybe God's plan is simpler than the scenario I constructed in my thoughts. Maybe God simply wants me to obey!

2 Kings 5:14
Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 Then he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, as the man of God had said, and his flesh was restored like that of a little child, and he was clean.

As I read Naaman's outcome, I am encouraged.

He was restored!

I am restored!

Let's all be encouraged by Naaman's story of obedience.

God's plan is profoundly simple...just obey!

2 Kings 1-4: Bring Me a Minstrel

2 Kings 3:15
Amplified Bible (AMP)

But now bring me a minstrel. And while the minstrel played, the hand and power of the Lord came upon [Elisha].

Have you ever felt God's Presence while listening to music?

A biblical minstrel was one who was anointed by God in playing their instrument.

Elisha called for a minstrel, the minstrel played, and the power of God came upon him enabling him to prophesy God's word!

I don't understand how it works, but I have experienced the supernatural effects of music played by anointed minstrels (worship leaders).  What's awesome is that this music doesn't need to be "live."  It can be on the radio, TV or CD.  The key is not only listening but engaging your heart, turning your innermost being towards God.

Anytime we posture ourselves in this way, supernatural occurrences are bound to manifest.  Prophesy, healing, empowerment, fruit and gifts of His Spirit abound in this type of atmosphere.

I previously mentioned in "Music, A Heavenly Language" the role of worship music in maintaining peace in me during last year's medical challenges.

Anointed minstrels play anointed music releasing supernatural manifestations...it's a biblical reality.

Thank You, Lord, for anointed music and the minstrels who play it!  May Your favor and empowerment be upon Your minstrels!  In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
