We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. And God does not take away life, but devises means so that he who is banished may not be an utter outcast from Him.

The woman of Tekoah is counseling King David in the matter of his estranged son Absalom, but that is only the surface of this awesome declaration.
God had devised a plan to bring us, the banished ones because of sin, to Him. This plan was Jesus being our Mediator. The One Who stands between us and the Father. The One Who takes our sin on Himself and deals with it once and for all!
“Sin has lost its power, death has lost its sting. He has risen victoriously!”
Lord, thank You for devising a way to bring me to You!!!
