If We are the Body by Casting Crowns

I heard this song on the way to work on Sunday morning.  Later on a co-worker retold a story in which he had been hurt by the Body.  This man was not saved and had no idea of was it was to live like a Christian.  My heart sank as I listened to his painful recollection.

I realize many of us are loving and reach out to the unlovely, but I also realize we still have a long way to go.

It's crowded in worship today

As she slips in

Trying to fade into the faces

The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know

Farther than they know

CHORUS

But if we are the Body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the Body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

There is a way

A traveler is far away from home

He sheds his coat

And quietly sinks into the back row

The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances

Are better out on the road

CHORUS

But if we are the Body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the Body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus paid much too high a price

For us to pick and choose who should come

And we are the Body of Christ

Chorus (2x)

If we are the body

Why aren't His arms reaching

Why aren't His hands healing

Why aren't His words teaching

And if we are the body

Why aren't His feet going

Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus is the way

A Beautiful History by Plumb

I worked dayshift on Sunday, and while driving there I heard this song on the radio. It ministered deeply to my heart, because when I have felt afraid or made mistakes, He has ALWAYS called my name. It's all just another stroke of the pen of my beautiful history with Him. As you listen to this song, prepare to be touched in your spirit.

I have made mistakes
and I have been afraid
I have felt alone
Then you called my name

Things were crashing loudly
Happening all around me
But you're still small voice
Was all that I could hear

I am here
I'm holding you
You'll make it through this
I am here, I am here
x2

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke of
the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history

Well I have been such a fool
when I have known the truth
I've wasted so much time
Doing what I want to do

I've been living solely
for myself and myself only
but your still small voice
is whispering

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke
of the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history

I toss and turn and scream
I try to do everything
with two feet on the ground
I just keep falling down again

I feel so far from home
Completely on my own
and then I hear you say
I am here, I am here

Whenever you run away
whenever you lose you're faith
It's just another stroke of
the pen on the page

A lonely ray of hope
is all that you need
to see
a beautiful history
a beautiful history
a beautiful history

Precious Lord Take My Hand

Precious Lord Take My Hand
Words & music by Thomas A. Dorsey

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I’m weak, I’m lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near
When my life is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I’m weak, Lord I’m worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

For Such a Time as This

I was privileged to attend PA Awake yesterday at the Sports Line Complex on City Island in Harrisburg, PA.

Even though the weather was overcast with a misty, light rain, many people hungry to see God's "Holy Experiment" of Pennsylvania come to fulfillment.

Local pastors and churches, united in one cause, gathered together to call forth the "seed of a nation." A seed where the governing bodies and people of this wonderful state would line up with the call and purposes of Heaven, and in doing so, lead this great nation to the one, true God and His ways.

Personally, I had the sense that yesterday was a "For such a time as this" day. A day for which God created this woman, to pray passionately for Heaven to invade this land, to worship through singing and dancing in the rain (AWESOME), and to reach out to other sons and daughters with the Love only Jesus can impart.

The story of Pennsylvania and its prophetic call are written in the the book, The Seed of a Nation, by Darrell Fields. I have not read this book yet, but I hope to soon.

Darrell Fields and his wife, Lorrie were in attendance yesterday, as well as Lou Engle, the leader of the nationally known gathering, "The Call."

Thank you to all who prayed for Pennsylvania yesterday. You were born "For such a time as this."

With Much Love...
Beautiful Grace

Chemistry Experiment 1.2: Air Takes Up Space

A paper towel is crumpled and placed in the bottom of a glass.
The glass is submerged (without tipping) in water.

The glass is removed (without tipping) and the paper towel is dry.

The paper is replaced in the glass and submerged.
This time the glass is tipped while under the water.

The paper towel is saturated.

Conclusion: The paper towel remained dry during submersion because there was air taking up space in the glass between the water and the paper towel.

In the second part of the experiment, the paper towel became saturated with water because the glass was tipped allowing the air to escape from the glass and providing open space for the water to rush into the glass.

Chemistry Experiment 1.1: Air Has Mass

A string is tied to a deflated balloon,

then tied to a yardstick.

Deflated balloons have equal mass and, therefore,

may easily be balanced on a fulcrum.

One balloon has been inflated with air.

The more mass, the more matter and the heavier the inflated balloon side, thus causing the bar to tip.

Conclusion: Air has mass. Mass is made up of matter and one way the amount of matter a substance has may be measured is by its weight. The weight of a substance is influenced by the gravitational pull placed on it.

A KEY PROPHETIC WORD! Dance MY New Dance! You Can Fly!
By Chuck Peirce

The LORD would say, At this key intersecting time of moving forward, many seem to be hesitating. Many are also snared between two opinions. I am opening and showing you light for new opportunity, but I see some resisting the steps into that place of faith and ministry and prosperity that is calling out to you. The call will remain extended for several weeks ahead. However, feel My stirring and respond.

The constrictions around you have stopped you from seeing your runway of advancement. I have come to make room for you to ascend to a new height. Extend your wings. Then extend them again. Stretch them to the left and the right. It is time for you to take flight! Let your gift make room for you. Expand into the new. I am more interested in you exercising your gift than in you finding your position at this time. Just as Joseph exercised his gift in prison, the gift made way for his positioning.

I am sorting out those situations that are presently confining you. I am coming in with a sorting instrument to begin to sort that which has kept evil in your midst working against My best purpose for your life. I will sort out the confusion that is around you. I am sending help now. What you need will be sorted out and your path will be rearranged. I AM coming down and cutting through the atmosphere that has been too thick for your vision to progress. I will take you through and over. You will feel water in your desert sand and moisture in your dry atmosphere. I will bring you in to My tent of refreshing and I will settle you in a new way.

I am choreographing a new dance for you. In the midst of this choreography, you are resisting the moves that I am telling you to make. Quit resisting My move, for you are leaning on your own understanding. The colors of the place that I take you will be much brighter and vibrant than anything you've ever stepped into. Quit resisting the room and the platform that I am asking you to dance in and upon. This is a time for new choreographies, new dances and new platforms. Quit resisting Me tearing down the old platforms that you are used to expressing your worship on. I will make you vibrant. Allow Me to penetrate you in a new way.

There is a dance I AM calling you to that is not dependent on your own understanding. You are resisting ME when you say, I don't understand how to do this dance. If you will get your eyes off your feet and look into My eyes, I will so captivate you by what you see in My eyes that you won't be concerned about the movement of your body. If you will let Me embrace you and bring you so close to Me that you don't have to worry about whether you're making the right move or the wrong move, then you will sense the moves that I AM making. I will take you from this earthly realm and we will dance in the heavens. Your spirit will dance with My Spirit and your understanding will come later. Quit trying to understand My move. Embrace Me. Get in the flow with Me. Let me captivate you with My gaze and we will do a dance like you've never seen.

DANCE NOW and you will become more fluid for this next season. I am not structuring you the same way that you have been structured in the past. The fluidity that I have for you will cause you to ease in and move with grace through narrow places. Come with me. Leave the last place you've been and you will ease through and into that place that I have now. There is a war over who will order the dance of your territory. There is a mental structure and stronghold over who will dance in their territories and change the land and atmosphere. Let My spontaneity arise in you. I am forming that new platform. Dance in My name, and I declare emotions will be healed and traumas will be released as the dance liberates your territory. A new wave of healing hearts, souls and lands is being released from the Heavenly Throne. Dance and represent MY movement. See the roots of hell let go of the gates. Then dance through the gates and into the streets, and many will join My Procession. City gates, beware! My people are beginning to move and dance!

Purple Door 2007

I spent this past weekend on Ski Roundtop! For the past several years, our family has made the trek to Mt. Airy for the annual Purple Door Christian Music Festival.

This year was a particular blessing for two reasons. The majority of bands I saw left no doubt as to how they felt about Jesus, encouraging the listeners in the love and forgiveness of the Lord. The passion they spoke and sang about was more than rehearsed religious speeches.

The second reason I was blessed was because of meeting, Michael Barnes, the lead singer of one of my favorite bands “Red.” I had heard on TVU (the Christian alternative to MTV) that he was a registered nurse. When questioned about his nursing background, he quickly pulled out the wallet-sized version of his nursing license form his wallet to present to me. In talking to him, I found out that he considers his music to be a type of spiritual nursing. (AWESOME!!)

What a blessing to meet a young man who is using the gifts the Lord has given him, whether music, compassion or intelligence, to serve the Lord by serving others. What a blessing to see the next generation making use of “hard rock” music to bring glory to the Lord!
