Leg Up Farm: The Courage to Dream

My son directed, filmed, edited and was the liaison between his company and ABC.

I saw the rough cut on Sunday and teared up.  It was very touching and inspirational!

Oh, and watch for my son's blue Geo Metro!  :)

Never Talk to Strangers II

Rated PG 13 for silly violence.  Watch the teddy bear and Fire's thumb.  Continue watching after the "thank you."  Click on "Where the story began" to see the original "Don't talk to Strangers."

Time Freeze

The Little Blue Metro That Could...The Continuing Saga

Once upon a time...

The Little Blue Metro continues to carry his brother, the man,

To art school they go just as fast as they can.

While the father of the family of four,

Maintains Little Blue and keeps him restored.

He checks the tires, the oil, and gas;

He takes the time to make him last.

BUT, poor father, with his head in a fuzz,

Forgot to put the oil cap back where it does.

Brother, the man, calls father in a hurry,

Father, "The Metro, he's smoking.  I'm worried."

In a flash, father by Metro's side

As father lovingly cleaned poor Metro's hide

Covered with oil and soot

Little Blue Metro's engine, not kaput!

The Little Blue Metro continues to carry, his brother, the man

To art school they go just as fast as they can.

Day after day and many days more,

Thankful for Metro's faithful service to the family of four.

Through crashes and smashes and oil smoke, galore!

I'm a little late with this post as this actually happened December of 2009.
And the Little Blue Metro lives on...

"The Governor’s Awards offers York an extraordinary opportunity to shine a spotlight on the diverse creativity in our own community. While the planning committee could not include all of the talented artists who live and work in our county, we have tried to include a representative sample of artists who make York a not-so-well-kept artistic secret."

Consecrated's photo-realistic 3d model of his Les Paul guitar is being displayed at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center today in York for the 2010 Governor's Awards.

I am proud of you, my son!!!

This is a 3 dimensional model, not a digital photo. My creative son built this guitar, piece by piece, on the computer.

I am proud of you, my son!!!

The Little Blue Metro That Could...Again

A long while since "Once upon a time..."

When the little blue metro carried the family of four here and there and everywhere. The little, blue metro carried over hill, over dale and over Peter's Mountain regularly in rain, in snow, in fog, and in sleet.

Now, a new assignment for the faithful blue metro- to carry his brother, over hill, over dale, as well as over Peter's Mountain and the Susquehanna River. To art school they go, day after day in weather stormy or fair.

The two, man and machine, brave the difficulties of life on roads traveled more, and again, OH, NO,...squeal, crunch, OUCH! Oh, little blue metro, how much more can you take?

But the little blue metro, fixed once again, continues his faithful service to his brother- the man.
You're beautiful, and just like new. Thank you, blue metro, we do love you!

2009: Christian Battle of the Bands

"Telios," the name of the band, means "It is finished!"

Fire, my "Extreme Drummer," played until his fingers bled.
Faithful Friend playing and singing.

Consecrated playing a Paul Gilbert guitar solo.
Seeing/hearing Consecrated's musical
gifting caused me to tear up.
for providing a forum for the expression of musical giftings!

Bonding With Consecrated

Hungarian Cookies "Benekies"
Consecrated and I bonded this past Wednesday afternoon by making "Benekies" together. I prepared the dough, rolled it out and cut it into squares, while Consecrated filled and shaped them.
I Love to bake cookies with my boys (I mean men). ;)

Great Job, Consecrated! Thank You, Jesus!!!

Consecrated has been chosen to have his "Crane Games" animation displayed at the Art Institute of York's DDX (Digital Design Exhibition). This honor usually is reserved for higher level students. Consecrated's animation professor told him that he has never chosen a third term student previously for this exhibition.

Thank You, Jesus!!! When we follow the path you have laid before us, Your favor is poured out.
