Love the unlovely. Trust that love is more powerful than evil. Walk out love, don't just talk about it.

Psalm 119: Psalm of Beautiful Grace
Psalm of Beautiful Grace
Written after reading Psalm 119.
12/15/01 4:00 am
Teach me Your commandments,
That I might not sin against You.
Give me Your understanding,
That I may keep Your whole word.
I cry out to You with my soul- to You, my God.
For You alone can save me.
You are my Portion.
You are my Provider.
Your mercy endures forever,
And Your loving-kindness is poured out to me.
You are the Treasure that I seek.
I have sought for You my whole life!
I searched for You, before I even knew You.
My soul remembered the day of my creation,
The day Your awesome hand fashioned me
In my mother’s womb.
My spirit rejoices in the day of my salvation,
That day long ago.
You did not leave me in my tears.
You did not forsake me in my sins.
You provided a way for me, a path on which to walk.
Your Holy Spirit has led me in Your ways.
Strengthen me by Your Spirit,
That I would always obey Your commands.
For You delight in obedience, more than sacrifices.
Teach me to walk in Your ways, forevermore.
I will be pleasing to You all the days of my life.
Your salvation is never ending,
And my reward is eternity with You.
Let me sit at Your feet and worship You, my King.
Allow me to anoint You with my tears.
Your love is sweet, it touches my soul,
My spirit rejoices in Your touch.
You call me as a lover calls His beloved
With gentle cords and a soft voice.
Teach me Your love; Whisper Your heart.
Impart to me the ways that will touch Your heart.
Your eyes search.
Search for me, my Lord!
Let them rest on Your servant.
Your eyes are flaming; They are fire.
They pierce through the facade of men.
They view the heart.
Your eyes melt me!
Where can I go to hide from you?
Why would I ever want to hide from my strength,
My fortress?
For when I fall, You pick me up.
When I transgress, You wipe me clean.
All things are possible with You, my Abba.
You have the power to make all my ways straight.
Let me always rely on You.
My children will bless You, because of my ways.
Let Your holy name be praised!
You are perfect- the consummation of perfection.
Let Your perfection consume me.
Let Your ways bring me peace.
My enemies try to turn me from You,
But they will not succeed,
For I am in the palm of my Creator’s hand,
And no one may snatch me from You.
Strengthen me with Your love.
Let your Holy Fire burn in me.
Let me never put You to shame.
I’m after Your heart!

In You Do I Trust
In You Do I Trust
You alone do I trust, my God.
All Powerful One,
Rise up, Oh, my God and King!
Stir my soul, Lord, with remembrances of past,
I yield my soul to You, Lord.
I will declare Your mighty deeds.
Your handmaiden seeks to be filled.
Hold me, Abba, don't let me go.
You alone do I trust, my God.
In You do I trust!
Dear Readers,
Please pray for our family. Strongman was permanently laid off from his job yesterday. Jesus has ALWAYS provided for us, but we need to know our part. Pray that our part would be clear. Pray for Strongman as he feels he has let me down. God is our Provider!

Graphite Drawing"Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
It is in this season of the year that I especially remember the sacrifice my Sweet Jesus gave for me and for you. He took upon Himself ALL of our sin and ALL of our iniquity, ALL of our guilt and ALL of our shame. Jesus died for us simply because He loved us and wanted to provide a way for us to be with Him. His love was so great that through the beating and mocking and scourging, He continued to keep His eyes set on the joy before Him. I believe that joy was not only that He would be going to His Father in Heaven, but also the joy of knowing that you and I would have a choice to join Him there for eternity.
About eight years ago, the Holy Spirit revealed the sin I had hidden in my heart, sin that I didn't even realize was sin. Upon the revelation of my sinful heart, I sincerely prayed a dangerous prayer..."Lord show me my sin how You see it." Out of this prayer, the Lord showed me sin's true form and this poem was born. This is why He died for us.
I am forever grateful for His sacrifice!

Poetry Place: Your Bride
Your Bride
Beautiful Grace
Thanksgiving 2004
She is a bold lion, listening and obeying.
She runs after her beloved Shepherd,
Her passion for the Lord evidences itself without reserve.
She hides no emotion, whether tears or joy,
Because that is who her Bridegroom made her to be.
Love flows so naturally from her being,
Love put there from above, a gift of sorts,
In order to walk through life on earth pleasing her Master.
Rivers of Living Water flow
As this love is released to those around her,
A cool drink of spiritual refreshment in a dry and weary land.
Those who know her marvel at the favor of the Most High God Which rests on her very life.
Many join with her in song,
The song of the Bride.
They listen carefully for the voice of the Son
It is His song they sing,
Repeating the words of it back to Him.
The Bride and Bridegroom’s voices ring together throughout the land
Perfect harmony and melody together blended.
The unity of song releases the power and glory of the Father.
A wave of glory washes over the land
Wiping away all that is not pleasing to Him.
What remains has been washed by this holy flood,
Cleansed, strong, and true.
Make me that Bride, Lord.
You have the power to accomplish anything!

Poetry Place: O Fire of God, The Comforter
by Hildegard (1098-1179)
O fire of God, the Comforter, O life of all that live,
Holy art thou to quicken us, and holy, strength to give:
To heal the broken-hearted ones, their sorest wounds to bind,
O Spirit of all holiness, O Lover of mankind!
O sweetest taste within the breast, O grace upon us poured,
That saintly hearts may give again their perfume to the Lord.
O purest fountain! we can see, clear mirrored in thy streams,
That God brings home the wanderers, that God the lost redeems.
O breastplate strong to guard our life, O bond of unity,
O dwelling-place of righteousness save all who trust in thee:
Defend those who in dungeon dark are prisoned by the foe,
And, for thy will is aye to save, let thou the captives go.
O surest way, that through the height and through the lowest deep
And through the earth dost pass, and all in firmest union keep;
From thee the clouds and ether move, from thee the moisture flows
From thee the waters draw their rills, and earth with verdure glows
And thou dost ever teach the wise, and freely on them pour
The inspiration of thy gifts, the gladness of thy lore
All praise to thee, O joy of life, O hope and strength, we raise,
Who givest us the prize of light, who art thyself all praise.
Written during the Dark Ages, this poem continues to call out from the past, through the ages, to the present, "God's Fire is everything we need." Jesus promised us that when He went to the Father, He would send us, The Comforter.
We no longer need to remain in bondage to anything, save righteousness. The Comforter, God's Holy Spirit, draws near to you now...in this time, in this place, just He drew near to Hildegard hundreds of years ago.
Call upon the Comforter in your distress, and He will answer you in ways you have not previously known. His Fire purifies, His Fire heals, His Fire fills you with the power to transform your world to mirror Heaven.
Holy Spirit, Comforter
By Beautiful Grace 11/16/2007
Holy Spirit, Comforter,
Fall on us today,
Empower us, draw us,
And in Your Presence we'll stay.
All life's woes,
All worldly cares,
Dimly fade
As in Your eyes we stare.
Draw us, lead us
And we'll be,
The holy vessels
You already see.
Through Jesus' blood,
Turn from worldly thoughts,
To Heaven's King,
And the Gift He bought.
Amen!!!!

Poetry Place: "Psalm of Beautiful Grace"
This psalm was written at the beginning of the season that God currently has me in. The last six years have been ones of intensity in trials and tribulations, but more importantly, they have been ones of deliverance and preparation.
I post this prophetic psalm now in honor the approaching new year, the final year of my current season of preparation...a year of coming full circle and new beginnings.
Be blessed, my friends!!!

Poetry Place: "Sing a Song of Joy"
It was true, the previous five years had been ones of "discordant sounds" rising and falling like waves over me. My response to this din had been a mournful / sorrowful song (bouts of depression), but a daughter of the King of the Universe should be joyful and not sorrowful!
"Sing a Song of Joy" was written as a prophetic declaration of my intent to sing joyful songs of praise to my King regardless of life's discord and sorrow.
Sing a Song of Joy
Beautiful Grace
5/4/2005
Soul full of discordant noise
Goes on and on.
Loud, soft, never ending
Rising and falling like waves.
Crashing and smashing
The fragile soul.
Mournful song of woe
Rises on the crest of each wave
Retelling each ache.
Each minor note with no ray of hope.
A child of the King,
Empowered by His Spirit,
Sings for the joy placed there in heart’s center.
Joyful, songs of praise
To the One Who reigns there.
Songs of the Spirit drive away the dirge
Empower in the midst of life’s dins.
Songs of the Bridegroom,
Heard by His bride.
She responds with harmony,
Beautiful, because it follows the lead of her Beloved.
Sing songs of joy, soul.
Spirit rise in bubbling sound
Life giving, empowered
Songs of life set the soul free.
Farewell, dirge, no more to be sung.
Songs of joy replace you!
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the (physical and spiritual) captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (the year of His favor) and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant (consolation and joy) to those who mourn in Zion- to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment (expressive) of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit- that they may be called oaks of righteousness (lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God), the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified" Isaiah 61:1-3 (Amplified) Emphasis mine.

Poetry Place: "Besiege My Heart"
Various trials, temptations, and heartaches have crossed my life's path. Suffering and persecution have been my companions. At first, comprehension of what was occurring escaped me. My merciful heart was turned in on itself, and I began to struggle with depression. I did not realize that I was being given the opportunity to be transformed into the image of Jesus, a vessel of His choosing.
This transformation does not occur instantaneously, but it is a process in which ALL Christians are in the midst of. Some of us look more like Jesus than others, but the simple fact remains, if we belong to Jesus, He will change us, transform us, to mirror Him. My accelerated transformation began seven years ago, when I prayed to Jesus, "Show me my sin as You see it." And then prayed, "Grow me quickly."
"Besiege My Heart" is my personal account of realizing my heart's condition and receiving revelation of the "tools" that God uses in order to transform me into Beautiful Grace, transform us into sons and daughters of the Most High God. He loves us so much that He refuses to allow us to be anything less that what He dreamed. He loves us so much that He will allow circumstances less than pleasant to come into our lives. We will fulfill our destinies, if we embrace God's work!!!
I pray in the great name of Jesus that we allow Him to do His holy molding and shaping. We will fulfill the destiny He has planned for us!!! In Jesus name!!! Amen

Besiege my heart, Holy Spirit of God.
I give consent to Your overthrow.
Incapable am I to rule it
For deceitful and wicked it is.
No man can know.
You, oh Conqueror, of base desires
Know the art of subjugation.
You war against fallen desires
Which block the full reign of Kingship of one heart.
You employ methods far too wonderful for comprehension
In accomplishing Your goal.
Trials become a chisel,
Whittling away self-love.
Self-love seeks protections from life’s inflictions,
But Love’s King has said, “embrace them.”
Allow Love to make you into the vessel of His chosen type.
His Love, holy, selfless and true, refuses to allow undoneness.
Be not hesitant to embrace Love’s power,
God’s depths are found there.
“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.” James 1:2 & 3

Without You, I would be dead in my sins and have no hope. Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of eternal life! Thank you, Jesus, for not leaving me in this world alone! You guide, You lead, You hold my hand. Praise be to You my Friend, my God, my King!!!!
Holy Spirit I ask that you would draw all of those who read this to Your heart that they too might hear Your voice and be empowered and encouraged...saved!!! All for Your glory, Jesus. In Your great name. Amen!!!

My Heart swells with love for a Friend
Who froze a moment to reveal a sunset
And declared it was for me.
Doves cooing to woo my affections toward Him.
This same God picked me up
Bloodied by stones flung by the Accuser's consorts.
He shouted, "You're beautiful, you're clean.
Take My glory and wear it as a sign.”
A Queen, a Bride being prepared for King Jesus,
Royalty, nothing less.
With purple turban on my head,
And golden gown shimmering,
I stand before my King.
My one desire…to please Him.
Yearnings of this world grow cold
Passion for the One I love burns brightly.
Weakness turned into Strength,
Fear transformed into Boldness
From glory to glory...changed.

Poetry Place, "One Heart Given"
Mary found Jesus, a man who loved her while she was heaped in sin (she was a known prostitute), bound by demons (seven of them) and sicknesses. Jesus called her to Himself, because He wanted to touch her, forgive her, heal her, empower her.
Mary's reaction to this God-love overwhelmed her to the point of entering a home where she knew she was not wanted. She did it because Jesus was there. The love she had for Him had to be expressed. With tears of gratitude and expensive perfume, she lavished her love on Jesus. Opinions of men would not stop her; She would give her life to this Jesus Who saved her.
One Heart Given
Beautiful Grace
11/5/05
Gift given with love and brokenness.
Gift accepted with love and tenderness.
One heart given.
As tears run freely
To wash His feet,
His Spirit washes my soul.
He pours It out unreservedly.
Hair damp from wiping
My precious Jesus.
I hear the whispers,
“Does He know who touches Him?”
My heart melts, my spirit sinks,
Then a gentle touch upon my head.
New strength surges, whispers fade,
Jesus voice secure,
“The world will remember what she does here.”
You, my Jesus, touch and sooth all fears,
Your hand, a hood upon my head,
Still racing thoughts, which remove the peace.
Your love strong, Your voice clear,
“Stand still,” in gentle firmness.
“I will fight this battle for you.”
“Let Me hold you, and you’ll not be moved
In body or in soul,”
“Give Me all your burdens, keep not one alone.”
“Let not the weight of them keep you from Me.”
“I want all your fears, all your restless thoughts,
For I alone can calm.”
I give You all my burdens.
I give You all my cares.
I run to You to hold me when
Uneasy thoughts arise,
Knowing You alone can console,
This anxious heart of mine.
I sing with soul and spirit,
My thankful heart declares,
Jesus, my Peace, my Comfort,
One heart alone prepares.
One heart becomes a throne,
You rule in majesty.
You take my hand and pull me up,
You speak with voice so clear,
“No longer a beggar,
No longer a servant,
I choose you to be My Bride.”
“Dance with Me, My darling,
For in you alone desire filled,
Let Me be your Light,
Let Me be your Guide,
Through life’s dark and winding roads.”
I Am calling you to give Me
Your heart and all that’s there,
Give with love and brokenness,
I will accept with love and tenderness,
One heart given,
Two hearts become as One.

Creation’s perfection shown
Adam and Eve ruling side by side
Temptation, the fall, sin entered in
The curse pronounced…
Enmity between seeds
In sorrow bring forth children
He shall rule over thee
Tears of desperation, years of weeping
Sin has won!
Yet, hope is found in the judgment
It shall bruise thy heel,
But thou shall crush his head.
The Seed shall prevail!!!
The curse is cancelled
Jesus has won!!!!
The cross restores God’s original intent.
Men and women ruling side by side
Lead us not into temptation,
Deliver us from evil.
The choice is ours,
The power…God’s.

Your glory covers the heavens
The earth is full of Your praise
Bright like the sunlight
Streaming from Your hand, splendid rays
The earth will be filled with the knowledge
Of the glory of our God.
Write the vision, engrave the tablet
For the appointed time, the time is now
Its time, its time to live by faith,
Oh righteous ones rejoice in the Lord
He is our strength; He makes us to walk and never faint
The hiding place of Your power
In the palm of Your hand
You come for the salvation of Your people,
For deliverance and victory, throughout the land
The earth will be filled with the knowledge
Of the glory of our God.
Write the vision, engrave the tablet
For the appointed time, the time is now
Its time, its time to live by faith,
Oh righteous ones rejoice in the Lord
He is our strength; He makes us to walk and never faint

Poetry Place, "My Heart Beats For You"
Part of the reason may have been that forty reminded me of a finishing line for the season of pregnancy. My husband and I were not planning to have any more children, but deep in my mother-heart, I still longed to feel life swell in my body, sooth my crying child, cuddle and kiss and play just once more.
I believe most woman "feel" this sense of finality, but in my case it was becoming somewhat distracting and the remedy...prayer. As long as I had my friend, Jesus, what did it matter if I never had another physical baby?
Approximately Six months before my birthday, I awoke to the Lord instructing me to study every forty in the Bible. I became amazed at the number of instances and the significance of those instances. Forty days and forty nights of rain then the rainbow, signifying the covenant promise of God (Genesis 7:12); forty days of spying resulting in forty years of wilderness (Numbers 14) then the promised land; King David reigned over Israel for forty years, (1 Chronicles 29:27) etc.
By the time my fortieth birthday came, I was actually looking forward to it; I anticipated what God would do in my life.
I was privileged to be volunteering as a Bible school nurse on my long awaited birthday. While stationed in the first aid tent, I had the free time to read, pray, and worship with singing. The Lord's Presence became so intense that I just had to begin writing the words, which flooded my soul. "My Heart Beats For You" is the gift that I received from Jesus on my fortieth birthday.
You fitted and formed each one together.
A beautiful piece of fine china,
The Potter's workmanship.
Shining brightly in the forming,
And caused me to be filled with the joy of Your love.
All will hear praises from my lips,
Freedom has been purchased.
Seeking for the One I love.
