Homemade Ice Cream...Yummy!

One of my most favored childhood memories is my dad making homemade ice cream when snow was on the ground. Snow was an important ingredient in the process, because the snow plus the rock salt caused the creamed sugar to "harden." My siblings and I would watch and wait in eager expectation for the electric motor on the ice cream maker to stall, signalling the completion of the cold confection. My dad asked me to prepare two types of ice cream, vanilla and strawberry, and I did yesterday afternoon.

Hi there! This post truly warmed my heart. My aunt used to make homemade ice cream too... and the pictures you shared made me crave for real, honest to goodness creamy ice cream.

I also want you to know that my blog received an award... and I have dedicated that award to you. Visit my Feb. 3 post when you can.

To God alone be the glory, but I do want to share the honor with you.

Love,
Maria

I have always wanted to make homemade ice cream, but never got around to it. The pictures are great, and the ice cream looks so good.
Thanks for posting a picture of your mom, it's nice to see her face since I have been praying for her.
What a blessing your ice cream day must have been.

Hi, Grace! I'm over from Lidj/Maria's place, and I'm so happy I came. I'm an RN who adores the geriatric set, so I LOVED your photos of your folks. They are all beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed your post about Strongman's prophetic dream - I pray the new job is going well. It's great to "meet" you.
