Last week, My son, Fire, had been asking to bake cookies with me for several days. Last Wednesday night at youth group, he jokingly said to me (in front of his friends) that I wouldn't bake cookies with him...soooo early Thursday morning (last week), we baked cookies, chocolate (for you, Sandy) chip cookies to be exact, along with our neighbor, Teddy Bear.
I love it that I can share one of my passions (cooking/baking) with my son, because everyone knows...REAL MEN BAKE COOKIES!!!

That is so cool! Agreed. 100%. Real men do bake cookies!
Yes indeed, real men bake cookies, and show their heart! And those homebaked cookies look yummy! Chocolate chips cookies are my fave but never tried baking them myself. Can you share your recipe? Thanks!
You are too funny!
Actually, my DH bakes better than I do! He makes eclairs, cream puffs and yes, cookies!!! Peanutbutter are his specialty!
Blessings!
Thank you for taking time to drop by my blog to share your recipe! That was so touching! I'll print it out and will surely bake a batch for my family when I get back home to the Philippines! I already got a name for these special cookies - Beautiful Grace cookies! Will let you know how they turn out. Again, thanks!
P.S. It was great seeing a photo of your family on your blog's sidebar, as well as your photo on your profile. Maybe some time you can teach me how you made the actual photo look like a colored pencil sketch. It's cool!
You're welcome, Crown of Beauty!!! Have a beautiful God-day!!!
Dear Crown of Beauty,
I cropped my head out of the family picture, faded the edges, and used the cartoonize effect using the program Roxio Photo Suite 5.
Consecrated, would be able to do a much better job using his Vis Tablet. Basically, taking the picture and tracing it. He doesn't have time to do that right now, because he is working hard on mid-term projects.
What a FUN picture! That is a classic photo....hold onto that one.
I love how they are showing off their "guns" for the picture! Such a boy thing!
I do wish I could come over and enjoy the cookies. My chocolate appetite is starting to return, but it is still far from full force! :)
Dear Sandy,
Just read an article on the benefits of eating a piece of dark chocolate each day...supposedly lowers the blood pressure. I think I heard about that before. Eat away!!
haha. two years ago my older brother went over to his friend's house... just to bake cookies... lol. :)
