2 Kings 1-4: Bring Me a Minstrel

2 Kings 3:15
Amplified Bible (AMP)

But now bring me a minstrel. And while the minstrel played, the hand and power of the Lord came upon [Elisha].

Have you ever felt God's Presence while listening to music?

A biblical minstrel was one who was anointed by God in playing their instrument.

Elisha called for a minstrel, the minstrel played, and the power of God came upon him enabling him to prophesy God's word!

I don't understand how it works, but I have experienced the supernatural effects of music played by anointed minstrels (worship leaders).  What's awesome is that this music doesn't need to be "live."  It can be on the radio, TV or CD.  The key is not only listening but engaging your heart, turning your innermost being towards God.

Anytime we posture ourselves in this way, supernatural occurrences are bound to manifest.  Prophesy, healing, empowerment, fruit and gifts of His Spirit abound in this type of atmosphere.

I previously mentioned in "Music, A Heavenly Language" the role of worship music in maintaining peace in me during last year's medical challenges.

Anointed minstrels play anointed music releasing supernatural manifestations...it's a biblical reality.

Thank You, Lord, for anointed music and the minstrels who play it!  May Your favor and empowerment be upon Your minstrels!  In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
