Psalm 72:12-14
Amplified Bible (AMP)
For He delivers the needy when he calls out, the poor also and him who has no helper.
He will have pity on the poor and weak and needy and will save the lives of the needy.
He will redeem their lives from oppression and fraud and violence, and precious and costly shall their blood be in His sight.
"Survival of the Fittest" is an idea presented to biology students as truth. The fit are able to survive the dangers inherent to their environment. As a result, the traits that enabled the fit to survive are then genetically passed to the next generation through procreation.
The theory of Evolution does not consider the weak and needy. Those whose environment is filled with violence and oppression are of no concern to a scientific ideology.
BUT GOD!!!
He delivers the needy and helps the poor.
He has pity on the weak and save the lives of those in need.
He redeems them from oppression.
Although I think science is awesome, I can't wrap my heart around a belief that elevates the strong, while trampling the weak. My heart turns towards those who cannot help themselves. God's heart turns towards those who cannot help themselves. I am in very good company!!!
Yes, this world is evolving...light and dark are becoming more distinct. The grays are fading, the line is drawn. We have a choice, be transformed into the glorious image of God or not.

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
